Within the Draw It component of Architectural Communications I decided to focus upon the Fisher House by Louis Kahn. My approach to drafting the appropriate plans, sections and elevations was one of a simplistic nature. Resulting in very clear and precise drawings, outlining the basic form of the building and the interplay of the numerous elements on a horizontal and vertical plane. Evident within the drawings above and below, I have used only pencil, at various weights and not pen, to allow the lightness of the pencil to almost fade into the page, creating a very light overall drawing. While further enhanced by the amount of detail applied, as limited to the basic elements, while implying further detail by small samples in an attempt to not complicate the overall composition.
